WEARING YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES

Everyday life happens. Sometimes things are all fine and dandy while other times life can be challenging and difficult. Circumstances happen around us all the time, but that doesn’t mean that we need to energetically take them on by wearing and therefore becoming them. If you are going through a hard time in your life, how can you just go through it with out becoming it? If we wear the energy of challenge, stress and negativity, we attract more of that kind of energy into our lives.  One way to not take it on, is to acknowledge that this is happening around you, yet isn’t you. You have a choice at anytime not to let it over take and consume you. When something consumes you, you end up wearing it just like the skin on your body, therefore becoming part of yourself. It can weigh you down with heavy energy that you now carry in turn creating a domino effect of more of the same kind of energy to follow. “We attract what we vibrate at”- Michele Meiche

We feed this energy by constantly talking and thinking about it all the time, all this does it keeps it alive. What happens when we feed something? It grows?

SOMETHING TO PONDER – HOW MUCH TIME AND ENERGY DO YOU SPEND THINKING AND TALKING ABOUT THE PROBLEMS IN YOUR LIFE?

At any point you can switch gears by shifting your energy by focusing on something other then the difficult situations in your life. Of course we need to feel and process, but when we stay there too long, we can take on the energy of the victim.

How many of you have been or are in relationships where you carry your partners stress and problems?  What I mean by that is, say your partner had an awful day, comes home in the most fowl mood, tells you all about it and suddenly you find yourself stressed out and in a bad mood? In the old paradigm of relationships the belief system was, “ your problems are my problems”. When we take on others stress or negativity as our own it becomes part of our being, again manifesting more of the same energy to us , the only difference is it was never ours to take on. When I was doing bodywork I can’t even tell you how many of my clients held stress and tension in the same areas of their partners body. There is a new way to be in relationship that doesn’t involve taking on your partner’s energy and carrying it as an expression of love.

This new model of relationship is like being on a ski mountain. Your partner might choice to ski down a run that’s rocky, icy with gigantic moguls but that doesn’t mean you need to go down that slope. You can  still be on that mountain with them by being  supportive, loving and compassionate but finding your own comfortable way , pace and path down that hill .

Some ways to not wear your partner’s energy is to first become aware of what is yours, and what is theirs. A question to ask yourself, how were you feeling prior to interacting with them?

There is that saying, “you can not truly love or be there for another until you really love and can be there first for yourself”.

Without healthy self-love, self-esteem and boundaries we will do anything for love even if it means wearing the stress and problems of our significant other.

SOMETHING TO PONDER- WHERE CAN YOU CREATE MORE SELF –LOVE, SELF- ESTEEM AND HEALTHIER BOUNDARIES IN YOUR OWN LIFE?
