shifting your head from your due date to approximate birth space period /window

I know , you are 9 months pregnancy , fully cooked and so over it ! Your back is hurting , your not sleeping , exhausted and can’t get comfortable , your swollen and so sick of having to pee every 5 minutes .. All the lovely symptoms that happen when nearing the end of pregnancy . Some say It’s Gods way to get you prepared for the sleepless nights to come or to make you so uncomfortable that you will be ready and willing to give birth to this baby of yours .

In my practice I have seen woman get crazy when they go over their due date and freak out and unprepared when they are early . Did you know that only 4 percent of all babies are actually born on their exact due date ? Out of the last 6 births I have been in 0 where born on their due dates (3 of them a week early , 1 was 10 days early ,1 a week late and another 9 days late).

One of the things I do is to have my clients let go of the due date and instead give them an approximate birth  window. The window is usually a 2 week period , 1 week or so before due date thru 1 week or so after due date  . When someone books me to be their doula that is how I book them . I am on call 1 week before and 1 week after their due date , sometimes even 10 days before and after if timing permits .

So let go Image of that exact date and allow yourself instead a window or birth space period , I promise it is way better for your peace of mind.
