Today is the beginning of a month long fall detox, I am taking out the bad a putting in the good. I am not doing anything too extreme as I am super depleted right now and don’t want to do anything to zap my energy any more then it already is. I am taking out the energy drainers such as – sugar , wheat , dairy , alcohol and meat …
I can easily give all that up but my big problem is chips . Nothing is more comforting and yummy to me then eating salty chips. The solution I have come up with is eating seaweed snacks and kale chips . It might not be the same as having a bag of hava or pretzel chips but definitely way better for you .
Kale is high in –
Vitamin A and Beta carotene
Manganese and Potassium
( which makes it my all time very favorite pregnancy food )
It also is detoxifying , anti inflammatory , a cancer preventive and helps lower cholesterol . A perfect and whole food for everyone !
HOME MADE KALE CHIPS
1 or 2 bunches of kale – washed and dried
Himalayan sea salt
You can try different spices .. lemon pepper is yummy so is spike .
