Many of us become fixated on what isn’t working or what we don’t have that it often takes over and becomes the theme of our lives . This filters us from seeing what is working and all the blessings that we actually do have in this present moment . Here is a simple journal exercise you can do to shift your attitude from the negative into positive in just a few minutes.
On a piece of paper , for 2 minutes ,write anything down that you are worried , anxious or stressed out about . Let it rip , go crazy get it out of your body and onto paper .
When the 2 min are up, right away switch gears and for 2 more minutes focus on what are the positive things that are happening . Where and what are the blessings in your life ? Give gratitude for all that you have and are and what your excited about.
Just like you did on paper you can do the same thing in your head when thinking fear based and negative thoughts . Let yourself hear and feel them , this is important as they need to be herd and felt , but if you find yourself lingering in fear or the negative for too long then make a choice and turn on the positive switch by focusing on your blessings and what is going right.
