A client of mine that is 34 weeks pregnant and has been having awful sciatica pain just called and asked me what she can do for it ( Sciatica pain is a tingling or numbness starting from the back or buttocks that goes down the back of the legs ) . I suggested to massage the nerve area with st John’s wort oil and place heating pad or hot water bottle on top for 10 min .
St john’s wort is an oil that I keep in my medicine cabinet as it helps not only with nerve pain but also muscle cramps , sore muscles , hemorrhoids and helps speed up the healing process of scraps , cuts , burns and surgical wound like from a c -section when applied topically .
Take a few handfuls of ( I use the dried flowers ) and put in mason jar
fill the rest of the jar ( leave a little space at top ) with cold pressed organic olive oil
* St john’s wort can make your skin extra sensitive to the sun so make sure you pile on the sunscreen when using .
Also great to have in the house in your first aid kit for the kids .
