I am always on the look out for quick and easy healthy recipes and snacks for all my expecting or new moms . Today I was talking with my friend Kelly and she gave me this totally awesome and easy as 1,2,3 cookie recipe that she has been snacking on throughout her entire pregnancy .
Kelly’s Simple , easy and clean cookie / snacks
2 ripe organic bananas
1 cup of quick oatmeal
2 tablespoons of ground flaxseeds
1 handful of cacao nips
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of vanilla
Honey to taste if more sweetness is desired
Smash up the bananas and add all the ingredients to the mix
Coat ( VERY well ) a baking tray with either organic butter or spectrum spray – bake at 350 for 15 min
What these awesome cookies / healthy snack do for you –
Bananas – High in potassium , rich in iron , improves mood , relaxes the mind and is a good source of fiber.
Oatmeal – High in fiber, antioxidants , good source of energy and stabilizes blood sugar levels .
Honey – Natural sugar and source of energy.
Flaxseeds – High in omegas , fiber and antioxidants.
Cacao – High in iron , rich in minerals , antioxidants , helps fight depression and enriches breast milk .
