Baddha Konasana stimulates the ovaries and reproductive organs , opens the hips and increases circulation in groin and pelvis area . It helps relieve mild depression , anxiety and fatigue . In pregnancy it’s great to do to help prepare for child birth and later in life it helps alleviate menopause related issues .
In a seated position bring your feet together in towards your groin and let your knees fall out to the side .
Place your hands on your feet and slowly open your feet towards the outside edge .
Inhale get length in your spine exhale slowly hinge forward , keep inhaling length and exhaling forward ( keeping your back straight ) slowly taking your time to get lower .
when you reach your edge reach your hands out in front of you and hold for a few minutes . See if you can send your inhale breath into through your nose into your groin and then exhale out of your mouth as you let your legs, hips , lower back , knees , groin everything relax and soften . You can even breath in your baby right into your groin and exhale out through your mouth any tension , blocks , frustration , disappointments or stress you might be holding on to that might be causing you to shut the energy flow down in this area of your body.
